Rendering Shading Technique

Hatching
- A technique used to create tonal or shading effects by drawing.
- The quantity, thickness and spacing of the lines will affect the brightness of the overall image, and emphasize forms creating the illusion of volume.

Cross Hatching
- Layers of hatching applied at different angles to create different textures and darker tones.

Contour Hatching
- Uses line to map the curved surface of depicted forms in a drawing.
- This technique involves curved contours to describe rounded organic form

Scrumbling / Random
- Various textures result depending on whether these short hatches are applied vertically, at right angles, following a contour or at random angles.

Stippling / Dots
- Use tiny dots to create value.
- The creation of a pattern simulating varying degrees of solidity or shading by using small dots.

Making our own logo from 2D to 3D design. First do the quick sketches. Then apply shape. After that, make a box to do the 3D. After finishing the 3D design, use artline pen to do the outline.
